I have been so honored to capture so many weddings this summer. Each time I photograph a wedding, I'm reminded why I do what I do. I get to capture a love story, a special part of a couple's journey, and the beginning of their new adventure together. I get a little window into their story ... capturing moments with people who have traveled far and wide, people who are so important to the bride and groom, and special moments with people that will most likely never all be together in one place again. It is so meaningful to watch the interactions, the laughter, the silly moments, the tears, the joy.
Cory and Elisabeth were a perfect example of why I love my job. Their day was filled with laughter, joy, tears, and such tender interactions that my eyes were brimming over with tears too many times to count. I'm so thankful for a young couple like them, who remind me of what love looks like. It isn't self-seeking, it isn't showy, and it isn't demanding. It is intimate, kind, selfless, and authentic. These two told such a beautiful love story through their whole wedding day, and I was honored to be a small part of it.
Cory & Elisabeth ~ Thank you so much for inviting me into your day! I felt like I was a part of something so special, so intimate, and so real. You two have a gift ~ your love will be a safe harbor for each other and a light to the world. Keep shining bright.
